At Kent Electrical and Fire, we are proud to offer the HUSH-PRO, a cutting-edge Grade C domestic fire alarm system designed to meet the BS 5839-6 2019 standards. This advanced system features its own mains power supply along with a rechargeable standby battery, making it ideal for individual dwellings.
HUSH-PRO is engineered to provide exceptional safety and convenience, ensuring that your home remains protected at all times. With a host of advanced features, it goes beyond standard fire alarm systems to deliver enhanced functionality and peace of mind. Here are some of the key benefits:
Real-Time Monitoring: HUSH-PRO can report fires, faults, and other critical system data directly to PCs, tablets, and smartphones, allowing duty holders to demonstrate due diligence and respond swiftly to incidents.
The HUSH-PRO system continuously monitors its wiring for open and short circuit faults and checks individual devices for proper operation and contamination. When in normal operation, any fault or contamination is indicated on the dwelling's controller, the communal/landlord system, and the C-TEC Cloud for prompt action. While occupants can hush the fault on their domestic system, the alarm will resound after 24 hours if unresolved, ensuring safety is never compromised.
In the event of a Fire Level 1 alarm (likely a false alarm), HUSH-PRO activates local alarm devices with a specific message/tone. Occupants can hush this alarm for up to two minutes. If the alarm reoccurs and remains a false alarm, the system will log this event as a supervisory incident, reporting it to the C-TEC Cloud for remote monitoring. If the situation resolves, the system will return to normal operation.
In the case of a Fire Level 2 alarm (indicating a likely real fire), local alarm devices activate with a distinct evacuate message/tone that cannot be hushed by the occupant. This alarm is also indicated on the communal/landlord system, where it triggers pre-programmed actions. For example, a Fire Level 2 condition on one floor may automatically activate alarms in other dwellings on that floor, ensuring at-risk occupants are promptly evacuated. All incidents are reported to the C-TEC Cloud for real-time monitoring until emergency services arrive.
In instances where the Fire & Rescue Service determines that a building's "Stay Put" policy has been compromised, they can use secure evacuation keyswitches on the communal/landlord system to help evacuate residents safely. Activating these keyswitches signals a Fire Level 2 alarm across all appropriate dwellings, ensuring all actions are logged on both the communal/landlord system and the C-TEC Cloud.
